Supporters of Climáximo disturbed normality in Lisbon’s Airport. They covered the main entrance in red paint, painted over the ticket readers and dropped a banner that read “Novo Aeroporto – Colapso Climático” (New Airport – Climate Collapse). The group declares that “proceeding with a new airport in Lisbon and discussing its location is a crime. To stop the climate crisis it is mandatory to reduce aviation by more than 90%, and to invest in public electrified transport for everyone, not a new airport.” at least 3 people were detained throughout the action
